Cairns & Innisfail

I am saying serious prayers tonight for a country I have yet to visit.
If you’ve heard about the tropical cyclone Yasi, you will know what I’m talking about.
This nasty monster has morphed into a cat 5 cyclone.
Not good.
There are many people that I love living there.
Please say a prayer for all those that just couldn’t get out of the way of this bloody beast.
(and there will be many)
Mother Nature needs a serious reality check in terms of what normal human beings can handle.
Looking for some serious mercy here.
But as a wise friend said, “Que, sera, sera . . . ”
Give it up.
Just give it up.
NOW.

    Why am I not surprised to see this post?
    As it transpires, everyone survived {other than a moron who didn’t understand the dangers of running a generator in a closed room…can you say FUMES???}
    Tully and Mission Beach weren’t quite as lucky as Townsville, Cairns and Innisfail.
    Tully has been decimated, and I mean decimated. Totally flattened, not a building left standing I don’t think, and Mission Beach had boats and yachts all up on the road almost, buildings flattened and house roofs flying left, right and centre.
    I have no idea who got Mother Nature so badly offside, but I would ask none too repsectfully that they *not* do it again, because I can assure you it’s not something I ever want to experience again no matter how long I live.
    It seems the prayers and candles worked my friend. Either that or giving it up works the way you think it does?
