It’s Monday!
Short post for me today as I’m a bit sore from shoveling and snowblowing.
We had a snowstorm last night that dropped 8″ of the white stuff.
Yes, it will be a white Christmas here in Boston.

Does anyone really like fruitcake?
As Jim Gaffigan says, “Fruit, good, cake, great . . . fruitcake? Nasty crap.”

Actually, yes, there was one kind of fruitcake I used to like, Corsicana Fruitcake from Corsicana, TX. Haven’t looked, so don’t know if they still sell it. It was good because it was heavy on the pecans and light on the yucky candied fruit. And my mom used to make one helluva hard sauce.

As to the fruitcake, well, if he doesn’t mixed peel and glace cherries in him, I’ll love him!
