I have followed Richard Page for almost his entire career.
From ‘Pages’ and ‘Mr. Mister’ to all the background vocals he’s done over the years.
Who is Richard Page?
You have heard him before.
Trust me.

An amazing musician that never got the recognition I think he truly deserved.
Such is the fickle nature of the music business.
Please enjoy his holiday offering.
The deeper message of this song far surpasses all the 70% off Xmas sales at ‘Walmart’ and ‘Macy’s’
This is yuletide warmth, cubed.
And yeah, I always cry at Christmas . . .

There is something to be said about christmas and the emotions it evokes… I have a secret… I always cry at christmas too… this is a secret because all who know me know that I am not a huge fan… I’m not the grinch… just reluctant… but I do always cry at the true meaning and joy of this blessed day…

    Beautiful song

I love that song! Had never heard it before. You’re right, Page hasn’t received the recognition he deserves. I’ll be plugging into this one at work, for sure. Thanks!

I hope this Christmas is extra special for you this year. For you and your girls!

      Thanks, Lolly.
      Thought you might like this.
      Page is an incredible talent.
I’m thinking he’s happy with his ‘secret’ status.
I don’t think he ever wanted to be a superstar.
He still needs to be heard.
And I’m just the guy to tell people about it.
      Tanks again, kiddo

I immediately recognized the first two songs from Mr. Mister. Loved them both. Drew a complete blank on the others. The Christmas song is exactly what I try to avoid hearing at Christmas — because I always cry.

I posted this more because I’m a very serious Richard Page fan. (can you tell?)
The song you didn’t recognize was from a self-titled album called ‘Pages’
      It is simply amazing.
Why the album never reached the airwaves is beyond me.
As far as crying? Cry. Better than going postal in some Dunkin’ Donuts on Christmas Eve . . .
      Tanks, PT

Thanks ~m! Great song! I haven’t heard it either.
I always cry at Christmas! Always! Mostly in appreciation for all I have! Family, friends….so many blessings!

Like Lynn, I tend to get teary over the things that mean most to me at Christmas.
Family, good friends, appreciation for how damned lucky I am overall.
It’s normal to cry at Christmas.
Those who don’t are the ones that worry me.
Mind you, I smile and laugh as much as I cry, if not more.
Some great songs there too. You were right, I have heard him, just never knew who he was.
Trust you to educate me musically!
