I’ll be spending the next week or so getting my laptop up and running.
From what technician said last night, my hard drive is fried.
It’s covered by warranty but I’ve lost so much stuff.
Not a happy camper right now.

Find out if there is a way that they can get what they call a snapshot of your hard drive ~M. Take it to a shop and they might be able to do it. Just remove the four screws that hold it in the bay and slide it out. Take it to the repair guy and see if it can be done. Did you get the blue screen of death before it died ? Did they have you try unseating and then re-seating it back in the motherboard ? Just curious. ~G
so,so,sorry- few things in our modern life are more frustrating than crash of a hard drive
It’s amazing how much of our lives {and our time} we invest in computers isn’t it?
If my laptop died, the last couple of years would be gone….could be a timely reminder to do some backing up…I have a squillion memory sticks, so I may make use of them…
Hang in there ~m…sunlight will arrive before you know it….
Whatever you do, DON”T take it to geek squad….hope it’s not too late
Have a Guiness . . or eight.
It’s the 17th here, and in honour of St Paddy, Mark had half a dozen cans of the black stuff and raised one for you….thought that might make you smile….

Happy St Patrick’s Day ~m
I laughed at the picture, but not the news that followed.
Hope you are up and running soon. Hate it when computers go haywire. UGH…
