I was given this award a few months ago by Annie, a writer I truly admire (and a dear friend).
She gave me the award saying this; “Michael at Smoke & Mirrors because his landscape is beautiful and touching, albeit often sad, and so very real that his words can touch as no others can.”

This is a guy that really deserves more recognition that what he gets.
I found Grimm on BlogExplosion a little while back and have been thoroughly entertained since.
I am proud and truly honoured to call him a friend.

Kat is a writer/poet that truly inspires me to be just a bit more, creatively speaking.
Though she has an avid following I had to give her this award.

Although he’s the ultimate blogslacker, he writes very well and has a joyfully sardonic sense of humor.
His view on the world is uniquely his own and I love the fact that he can verbally smackdown
the most intellectual of assholes with the most succinct use of the English language known to man.

Ok, so, like, what’s going on here? Someone said I won some kind of award thingie, or something? Wow. Cool. Is this the part where I thank my mother, and God, and my agent, and my wife–oh, wait, I don’t have a wife anymore. Ok, skip the wife part.
So the Ultimate Blogslacker won an award. Who woulda thunk it? Thanks, buddy. It means a lot coming from you, of all people. Of course, don’t think I don’t know the next move in your little gambit. I can almost see your next post….
The real irony here is that forever more you and I will be side by side on Mr. Linky. (God, that sounds so dirty.)

I heard about Smith getting an award on his blog, so I ran here to check which one (wasn’t aware that there was a ‘blogslacker’-award), and the first thing I see is my name, which renders me totally confused. I scroll back up and see the award category and……wait, Hubby has a question:

Well, thank you so much, M. I am blown away not only by your endowing me with this, but more so by what you have to say about me and my blog. I see I’ll soon be adding a few more to my roster of blogs that I follow. Give me a couple of days to check everyone out and to post this.
By the way, I never give you these awards because I thought you wouldn’t post them. I have a whole backlog that you just might be receiving (do you have an attic)?

In true ~m fashion, I am late getting to this award. It seems for some of the winners (me included) this could double as a blogslacker award.
