Over There

I am busy the entire weekend but didn’t want to leave you guys with nothing.
I couldn’t post a video clip from Terrence Blanchard, so I will leave you with a link.
YouTube can be so damn fickle.
The cut is called Over There from his album called “A Tale of God’s Will, a requiem for Katrina”
This is an intensely moving instrumental so sit back, make some hot chocolate and enjoy.
Catch you guys and gals next week.
I am so far behind, blogwise, I almost hate myself.
But I am making progress on the book.
My wife and I are having an anniversary dinner at the house of some dear friends tomorrow night so I will not be around until the beginning of the week.
Later all . . .

btw ~ my deepest thanks to Moe, DownUnder, for all her help in getting this theme up and running.
We were chatting on Gmail one night when she sent me the link for this particular template.
I think it is stunning. Comments regarding the look are always appreciated.
Please direct your comments towards Moe.
She took care of 95% of it.

  1. Awesome template. I can’t believe Moe didn’t keep this one for herself. ;) I like it a lot. The wife and I also enjoyed your video. Thank you. A nice ending to a long day. Good night, and have a wonderful weekend. :)

Most of the credit goes to the forums and the people on there who willingly share their knowledge. I just put it into place. On the positive side of that, for every problem I fix, it teaches me that little more about PHP. It’s not too bad once you get used to it. Until then you just rip your hairout!

    Nice link btw!

That is an amazing picture and Moe did a great job on the theme. Please tell her I wish her well. Or hopefully she will read this and see for herself. :)

No doubt she read this Teeni.
    It is awesome, isn’t it?

    “Holy Smokes!”

No word of a lie, that was the first out loud expression that escaped when I landed here. (Fitting, don’t you think? ;-) ).

Moe has done a FANTASTIC (again to be taken very literally) job on this. It looks absolutely stunning. Me likes (still have melancholy feelings for the burnt rum coloured hour glass though)it a lot.

Although on second thought….. is it you?

    I think it’s totally me.
The header is what blows me away.
Everytime I fire up the laptop I go, “My God, that looks good!”
I do like the hourglass as well.
Have no fear, it will be back one day soon.
Right now I’m just enjoying my little ‘Dark Planet’ ;)

Very cool template. Hope you keep it for a while! You change templates like I change underwear ;)

    I’m slowing down though, bud.
I don’t change them like I used to (yeah, right!)
    Thanks, Snot

Spectacular template! What I take from it is this: The sphere is like a giant eyeball with the intricacy of veins running beneath the surface – a metaphor for God’s eye on the world, perhaps?

Love the magnificent clouds and the tree-line too. Just awesome, in the true sense of the word.

Hope you have(had) a wonderful anniversary and look forward to a visit from you (I have a November 11 poem posted just today).

    Kat-
Don’t think I’ll ever look at this template quite the same way. ;)
    Thanks for the visit.
I have been by and commented.
You and your dad are in my prayers.
    Take care,

Keep this theme, Michael. That picture is breathtaking! Thanks for stopping by my blog this weekend. Glad to hear that you’re making progress on your book. I’m looking forward to reading it.

    I love the pic too.
Progress seems so fast somedays and slow on others.
    I’m hoping that’s normal. Maybe it’s me.
When it’s done, you will receive an autographed copy.
    Promise.
