Since I began seeing the “Bucket List” meme floating around the net I thought about
several things I’d like to do before I die.
The picture above served as a reminder.
The aurora borealis?
Yeah, I will see them.
Click on the picture above for a full shot of the Northern Lights from outer space.
Breathtaking.

Get me a chocolate Lab.
Cutest damn puppies I’ve ever seen.
Great dogs, too.
Been years since I had one.

Jobson’s Cove in Bermuda.
I miss the island overall and hope I can get back there very soon.

Just a few idle thoughts during my last day off
before heading back to work tomorrow.
The time off has been somewhat therapeutic.
And my mind is quiet . . . for now.

My dog canine life partner, Mr. Pickles is a 6 year old chocolate lab… someone gave him to me when he was a year old, but he’s a pretty special critter…

And the ‘lights’ are on my list, too… as is some time in the islands. ANY islands at this point. i’ve been around the world, but never been to the Carribean…

Mr. Pickles? Oh, I love that! W00t!

  • B. and I started out wanting a chocolate lab, actually he wanted a lab and I wanted a chocolate one.
But then we were led to Kea, and we forgot about the chocolate lab. Still have a soft spot for Chocolate Labs, especially puppies, but when I look at Kea’s face, there isn’t anything I’d rather have than my Spaz Golden Retriever. Oh and the best thing, her doggie friend is Mocha, yes, you guessed it, a Chocolate Lab.

Keep looking at your list and you’ll get there.

    All about visualization, isn’t it?
Kea and Mocha sound like very cool Labs

Since there are other “Chocolate” fiends out there – i thought i’d share an info bit i got from a neighbor… He trained assistance animals (puppies) in basic obedience. As he’d see me chasing my ADHD chocolate lab down the street (he doesn’t come when called – after 5 years of concerted effort to train him), he pointed out that chocolates are generally the only labs never used for assistance animals…

sometimes a ginormous heart isn’t enough!

    Problem with listening, huh?
    Reminds me of . . .
I’m not even going to go there tonight ;)
    Interesting though. Go figure.

the lights are on my list. And Venice, before it sinks. And Machu Pichu, although that actually requires me getting fit, so getting fit is on the list too. :)

    See you in Alaska . . .

I’ll have to send you a picture of Winston when he was a puppy ~M. I remember you coming to my house the first day I had him.. sitting on the back step and him tugging on your sneaker laces and you saying jeez strong for his size..he was one of a kind and a great companion. I have a great pictue I’ll have to send you of him.

    Got it.
It will go up over the next day or two.
    Thanks, G.

I would love to see the northern lights. But I don’t want to deal with the cold. I may have to find some kind of compromise. The pic you posted is soooo cool. And a chocolate lab is a great choice in companions. Talk about unconditional love. **sigh**. These lists are great to review every so often. I enjoyed reading yours. :)

I’m sensing that many people want to see the aurora borealis.
Kind of interesting, not hard to understand but very interesting.

I like this “bucket list” because it is genuine and meaningful. Beautiful desires. You shall achieve I am sure… I have never seen the Aurora Borealis from space. Beautiful picture.

Maybe we’ll all meet up in Alaska sometime.
    ;)
