Don’t know how things are in your neck of the woods but
the weather has been incredibly freaky up here in New England.
I’m talking about stuff I’ve never seen in all my years in Massachusetts.
Armageddon?
End of Days?
Maybe I should be getting my shit together.
I’m a bit freaked folks.
This is not your usual New England August.
Did they have microbursts 200 years ago?
And if not, why?
This is just strange.
Weather men will say,
“No rain today, folks! Wait . . . yeah, lot’s of rain and wind . . . maybe . . . uhhh, wait . . .
snow and sleet . . . and hail, too!” Just kidding, it will be sunny afterall!”

Yeah, right.
They don’t have a clue.
Just like us.
Open the window and wait.
We don’t need no stinking weather channel we have a freekin’ window.
24/7
Sheesh . . .
Welcome to the suck, as far as weirdo weather goes anyway.
Tornado anyone?

The New England is freaking me out, too. WTF??? There are random dark clouds and no rain. Today the sky was clear, but there was lightning! Tornados were around today in Central MA. A thunderstorm almost every day! Where did summer go? Was it ever here?
    Great picture~m
Gotta get off the computer….major lightning right now!

The clouds are simply frightening but beautiful.
Looks like there’s no end in sight too.
They say Mother Nature is “recalibrating” herself.
I hope she hurries the hell up.

We are having some crazy weather here in NY, as well. Sun one minute, rain the next and nights filled with amazing cloud-to-ground lighting displays. I awoke the other night and swore it was “War of the Worlds”. Eerie…

    Always love your pics!!

    Be safe.

War of the Worlds is a very good way to put it.

Crazy weather would be welcome here. It has been one hot miserable day after another around here.

    You can have it, dude.
If I can find a way to bottle it, I’ll send you down a case or two.

Hi Michael. It does sound very scary. We had a tornado just about a mile from our house Monday. I peeked upstairs to see a greenish/dark sky. I ran back downstairs to join my family. The weather here has been rotten, seems like too many tornado warnings for me… :(

I get really scared! Stay safe!

The clouds have been very strange.
    They almost look like explosions.
    Greenish? Maybe it’s a lucky sky . . . :0)

Make sure you keep your ruby slippers handy.

    Thanks, Tin Man.
We’re definitely not in Kansas these days . . .
Don’t make me release the flying monkeys!

It’s all over. And it’s getting worse. Batten down the hatches, me mateys. The end is nigh!

Makes me think of the Donald Fagen song from the Nightfly.

I followed your YouTube link, and then started watching all kinds of weather videos. This one was the best one I found.

Kinda makes me glad I don’t live in that part of the country. But then again, the firestorms we get out in CA can produce vortexes similar to tornados. I didn’t know that until now.

    Stay safe and dry.

    Frightening video.
The weather does make you wonder, huh?

It sure has been freaky around here lately with the weather. I watched a bunch of tornado clips at youtube after seeing your link. They are awesome and I mean that in a fear-inspired way, not in a teenager “cool” way. I’m so glad tornadoes aren’t too common around here and I hope they never are. Yikes.

I am glad we’re not in Kansas.
Keep those Ruby shoes close by . . .

    ok, this one hit home.

    it was a year ago june 28 that the microburst touched down on my tiny home. our lives were changed forever, and my faith challenged. my belief system was tested time and again…on a daily basis. {pay it forward? i thought so. when bad things happen to good people? yup. ok, so no one in my family has Cancer or ALS or MS; i will take theses hits if it’s some kind of a trade-off. is that how it works? are You listening?}

finally, our house is back together, but it will never be the same. it just brings home the overwhelming realization that anything can happen to anyone, anywhere, at anytime. we’re so small, and the world’s so vast…

lightning still makes me cringe, just a little.

still grateful, and humbled as ever,
    yvonne and benjamin

I remember that disaster well. Amazing what a difference a little time makes.
    The place looks wonderful now.
btw- Your comment went to moderation because of the link.
    It’s all good now.

We have a little saying here “if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” Seems that Annie has heard that too where she is from.

Back on May 30th we had a hail storm with golf-ball sized hail that lasted for 1/2 hour. It was intense and loud, and was very unsettling. Then it was sunny out.

We have a new roof, new gutters, and will soon be getting new windows.

I haven’t handled storms very well since that storm.

A friend of mine drove through a hailstorm last week.
He needs a new windshield. Yoiks!
