Now and then a special song comes along and stops you in your tracks, much like this one.
I talked with my sister on my ride into Boston yesterday and she asked if I’d heard this song by John Mayer. I hadn’t.
She sent me a link and I checked it out late last night when I got home from a long, long day.
I like most of what Mayer does and this is no exception.
Truth be told, I think he wrote this song for me . . . a nice little Father’s Day present from my sister, Maureen.
I looked for a decent video and thought this one was alright.
Better than staring at a static screen for 5 minutes.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s that visit today.
Enjoy the music

yeah, beautifully written and performed, as we’ve come to expect from JM; the video was nice, too.

today is one of those days made for reflection and reconnection…a day to take stock and be grateful for the love of family, and pay homage to that wonderful vanishing generation.

*happy father’s day to all those single moms, too, who have adopted, adapted and mastered both roles admirably in the absence of the father, for whatever reason.

Didn’t even think of the single moms. God, you are so right.
So many women out there doing jobs they were never meant to do and they do so admirably.
Wonderful when a faithful reader can make me look beyond my own post.
No surprise it was you, Y
