I want to live my next life backwards:

You start out dead and get that out of the way.

Then you wake up in a nursing home feeling better every day.

Then you get kicked out for being too healthy.

Enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.

Then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day you work 40 years until you’re too young to work.

You get ready for High School: drink alcohol, party, and you’re generally promiscuous.

Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.

Then you become a baby, and then… You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in Spa-like conditions – central heating, room service on tap, and then…

You finish off as an orgasm.

I rest my case.

this was attributed to Carlin.
Not sure if it’s entirely true but it sure sounds like something he would say.
I saw the man many years ago at a small venue in Rhode Island.
He was incredible.
I am deeply saddened by his death.
A true clown has died.
Rest in pieces, George.
You were an original.
Long live the Toledo Window Box

  1. Thanks Michael, It is a great reminder of a man who lived his life amusing others while sharing truths that were occasionally uncomfortable. I never had the chance to seem him live, but I will miss his humor.

He will be missed. Period. Amen.
    Thanks for the comment, klcrab

  2. Got caught staring at the B&W photo.

Realised the only thing in focus is the mic,
with Carlin fading into the background,
leaving his voice behind, his words,
    loud and clear,
    which we will always recognise,
    when we hear them again.

    It’s a great shot.

    Thanks Michael.

An artist’s view of Joe in many ways.
No surprise from you Spaz . . .
You see things that many don’t see.
